Michelle Willis recently relocated from Boston, Massachusetts, to Vicenza, Italy. In Boston she worked as a chamber music player and freelance musician. In addition to her performing, Ms. Willis has dedicated herself to music education at her private studio and The Musical Suite in Newburyport. Ms. Willis received her MM in Flute Performance at the Louisiana State University. She earned her BM from the University of the State of São Paulo. Her main teachers were Jean-Noel Saghaard, Katherine Kemler and Sarah Beth Hanson. She has attended masterclasses with Trevor Wye, Alexa Still, Göran Marcusson and Gitte Sorensen. Professional affiliations include membership to the National Flute Association, ABRAF (Brazilian Flute Association) and AFI (Italian Flute Association).
